My fifth grade teacher, Ms. G, recently purchased a copy of the Shel Silverstein book
A Light In The Attic. There is one poem that I really liked. It is called "The Prayer Of The Selfish Child." It goes like this:
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray to the lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray to the lord my toys to break.
So the other kids can't use 'em.
